Introduction and Function
With widespread applicability, 5XL-100 Air screen separator can be used for separating
vegetable and flower seed with light weight and small size such as pepper seed, tomato
seed and rape seed by replacing screens and adjusting air volume.
Working principle
Working principle of the Vegetable seed cleaning machine uses the difference of the physical and mechanical characteristics between seed and other impurities. The machine uses following characteristics to remove impurities from seeds.
Air screening system can separate impurities from seed according to characteristics of weight aerodynamics by changing section area of aspiration channel for getting different air velocity to achieve the purpose of cleaning.
Under the function of air flow, materials in feeding hopper shall flow into pre-aspiration channel evenly and continuously, and light impurities shall be lifted into sedimentation as critical speed of light impurities is less than air velocity. Air velocity will decrease in sedimentation chamber, so some heavier impurities shall be conveyed into impurity discharging trough by blades of air closer after sedimentation; while the lighter impurities shall be lifted in to dust collector for the second sedimentation. In the process, light mpurities shall be discharged with air flow into the bag by outlet of fan for improving working environment. The back aspiration channel is located at the main outlet, so when seed and impurities flow into it, seed shall be in “boiling” state under the function of air flow, and thin seeds, worm-eaten seeds and impurities shall be aspirated into sedimentation chamber by aspiration channel. Air velocity decreases in the sedimentation chamber, so heavy impurities shall fall into the bottom and be continuously conveyed into discharging trough by blades of air closer; while the light impurities shall be conveyed d into dust collector by air flow, and the air velocity decreases again, so impurities shall be deposited for second time, while lightest impurities shall be discharged by outlet of fan.
Screening uses size difference between seeds and impurities to separate impurities and thin seeds by different screen meshes. Screen meshes used in this machine can be divided into round meshes and long meshes.
Screen with round meshes can separate seed according to seed width without anything to seed length and thickness, and if seed width is larger than mesh diameter, the seed can not pass though the screen mesh. Screen with long meshes can separate seed according to seed thickness, and if seed thickness is larger than mesh diameter, the seed can not pass though the screen.
